Privacy Policy

Flipbookz ("we", "us") is operated by Rishi Sharma, an independent founder based in India. Flipbookz turns documents into shareable flipbooks and gives creators tools to publish, share, and understand their readership. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. For anything privacy-related, contact us at rishi@startraven.com or through the contact page.

Account data. When you sign up we receive your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and profile picture from your Google account. You can add a handle, bio, and avatar to your public profile.

Content you provide. Documents you upload or link, cover images, flipbook titles and descriptions, comments, likes, follows, and messages you send through the contact form. Documents opened via the ad-hoc viewer from a public Google link are fetched from Google and rendered; locally uploaded PDFs in the ad-hoc viewer are processed in your browser and never stored on our servers.

Usage and analytics data. When you read a flipbook we record events such as page views, read progress, session duration, referrer, and approximate device type. We use IP addresses transiently for security and rate limiting. This data powers the analytics we show creators in aggregate form.

Payment data. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we store only your subscription status and Stripe customer reference.

Creators on Flipbookz can enable lead-capture forms, email subscriptions, and access gates (such as email OTP) on their flipbooks. When you fill in such a form, the information you submit (name, email, phone, message) is collected on behalf of that creator and shared with them. For this data we act as a service provider; the creator decides how to use it and is responsible for handling it lawfully. If you want such data corrected or deleted, contact the creator, or contact us and we will help.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the service.
• Show creators aggregate analytics about their readership.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Send transactional email — login codes, lead notifications, and updates you subscribed to.
• Prevent abuse, spam, and fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (such as reader settings and whether you have already unlocked a protected flipbook). We do not set third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We rely on a small number of providers to run Flipbookz, each receiving only what they need:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google — sign-in (if you choose it) and fetching documents from public Google links.

These providers may process data outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent harm.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete content, it is removed from public view immediately and purged from our systems within a reasonable period, subject to backups. To delete your account and associated personal data, email rishi@startraven.com and we will complete the request within 30 days, except where we must retain records (for example, billing records) to meet legal obligations.

Depending on where you live — including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at rishi@startraven.com. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and access-controlled content (passwords, OTP gates, private rooms) is enforced server-side. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your data, and we will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.

Flipbookz is not directed at children. Do not create an account if you are under the age at which you can validly consent to data processing in your country (13 in many countries; 18 in India absent verifiable parental consent). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date above, and — for significant changes — by email or in-product notice. Continuing to use Flipbookz after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
